Hit and run motor vehicle accident in SSC, leaves one dead / English and Spanish Version
SOUTH SIOUX CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.-June 24th, 2019 at 8:53 PM the South Sioux City Police Department was notified of a hit and run motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of East 15th Street and “B” Street. A female later identified as Antonia Lopez De Ramirez age 62 was transported to Mercy One Hospital where she later died of her injuries. The investigation revealed Antonia Lopez De Ramirez was walking Eastbound across “B” Street when a Northbound vehicle struck her at that intersection. The vehicle continued Northbound leaving the scene of the accident. An Officer with the Sioux City Police Department later made contact with this vehicle and the driver, Maria Sandra Gonzalez-Diego age 19 was arrested for OWI 2nd. She is currently in the Woodbury County Jail also pending charges in Nebraska for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving While Under the Influence 2nd, and Motor Vehicle Homicide.

DEPARTAMENTO DE POLICIA DE SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE El 24 de junio de 2019 a las 8:53 pm, se notificó al Departamento de Policía de South Sioux City que se produjo un accidente de vehículo de motor que ocurrió en la intersección de la calle East 15th y “B”. Una mujer que luego fue identificada como Antonia López De Ramírez, de 62 años, fue trasladada al Hospital Mercy One, donde más tarde murió de sus heridas. La investigación reveló que Antonia López De Ramírez estaba caminando en dirección este por la calle “B” cuando un vehículo en dirección norte la golpeó en esa intersección. El vehículo continuó en dirección norte dejando la escena del accidente. Un oficial del Departamento de Policía de Sioux City identificó al vehículo y detuvo a la conductora, Maria Sandra Gonzalez-Diego, de 19 años de edad, quien fue arrestada por OWI 2nd. Actualmente se encuentra en la cárcel del condado de Woodbury y también tiene cargos pendientes en Nebraska por dejar la escena de un accidente, conducir bajo la influencia del segundo lugar y homicidio en vehículo motorizado.
