Registration Open for Nursing Assistant Class in Columbus

(Columbus, Neb.) – Registration is open for a nursing assistant class that will be held Aug. 21 through Sept. 12 at Central Community College-Columbus.

Students must attend a mandatory orientation session and complete at least 76 hours in the classroom and all the required tests before the final day. The lab will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, except for Labor Day.

The class is limited to the first 18 individuals who register and pay for it. The cost is $415, which includes in-state tuition, fees and books. Tuition assistance is available for students whose incomes qualify.

CCC News Release: OSHA General Industry Training Set for Columbus

 (Columbus, Neb.) – A 30-hour OSHA general industry training course will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 20-23 in the Student Center, Room 179, at Central Community College-Columbus.

            The course will provide participants with the compliance safety training they need to be prepared for hazards found in manufacturing, service and distribution companies. They also will gain an in-depth knowledge of occupational safety and health standards.

            Class size is limited so registration is required to reserve a space and must be completed by Aug 13. The cost is $475, which includes General Industry Training Cards, 29-CFR 1910 General Industry Standards and handouts.
