What are your two main issues for 2016, and why?
1. Economic development. Sioux City has seen housing and job growth, but we need to continue pushing for better education and higher wages.
2. Conservation. Investing in parks, trails, hunting, and fishing is important for sportsmen and families alike. They contribute greatly to quality of life, recreation, and they support small businesses.
Why should people vote for him? I’ve fought hard to bring resources to Sioux City, and I have a reputation for working with both Democrats and Republicans. We need experienced leaders, and must make sure Sioux City remains a good place to raise a family.
Chris Hall is serving his third term in the Iowa House and works as the Grants Coordinator at Western Iowa Tech Community College. Chris was born and raised in Sioux City and graduated from North High School. He stayed in Iowa to receive his undergraduate degree from Grinnell College. Hall is the youngest of four children and was raised with a strong belief in public service. For Chris, being a good neighbor means giving back to the community.
In the legislature, Chris serves as Ranking Member of the Appropriations committee. He has championed economic development issues in northwest Iowa, anti-bullying legislation, and has a strong record of bipartisanship.
Hall attends First Presbyterian Church in downtown Sioux City. He is a member of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Iowa Farm Bureau, Rotary Club, and Sioux City Growth Organization.
