Juanacatlán: un equipo Jalisciense en Omaha (English & Spanish Version)

Desde el 2002 el equipo de Juanacatlan ha sido protagonista en futbol latino de Omaha. Sus jugadores, en su mayoría son de Juanacatlan y llevan en su sangre el sabor de la birria y el tequila.
Son pertenecientes al municipio de Tenamaxtlan Jalisco, México. Con nostalgia, el director técnico, Julián Guerrero, nos platica las festividades del mes de enero, en la que la asociación de charros organiza varios días de jaripeo y la gente de Juanacatlán se divierte con un ambiente muy mexicano. La calidez humana de la gente de Juanacatlán es evidente en su trato. Su alegría queda manifiesta al ser buenos anfitriones con los visitantes.
La mayoría de sus pobladores son fieles seguidores de las chivas rayadas del Guadalajara. Y cuando hay oportunidad, les gusta irse a la playa de Puerto Vallarta a tomarse unas merecidas vacaciones.
Asimismo, recuerda la fiesta religiosa de la Virgen de Lourdes que celebra la comunidad de Juanacatlán. Seguramente, a ella, su patrona, varios de sus jugadores se encomiendan antes de iniciar su jornada laboral o su partido de futbol.
Julián Guerrero nos comenta que allá en su querido Juanacatlán, la gente se dedica principalmente al cultivo de maíz y ganadería y la gente que empezó a emigrar en la década de los ochentas a Omaha, empezó a trabajar en la construcción y empacadaoras de carne.

Since 2002 the Juanacatlan team has been in the spotlight at the Omaha Latino Soccer League. Its players are mostly from Juanacatlan and carry in their blood the taste of birria and tequila.

They belong to the municipality of Tenamaxtlan Jalisco, Mexico. With nostalgia, the technical director, Julián Guerrero, tells us about the festivities of the month of January, in which the charro association organizes several days of jaripeo and the people of Juanacatlán have fun with a very Mexican atmosphere. The human warmth of the people of Juanacatlán is evident in their treatment. His joy is manifested by being good hosts with visitors.

Most of its inhabitants are faithful followers of the “Chivas Rayadas”  of Guadalajara. And when there is opportunity, they like to go to the beach of Puerto Vallarta to take a well-deserved vacation.

Also, he recalls the religious festival of the Virgin of Lourdes that celebrates the community of Juanacatlán. Several of the players pray to the Virgin of Lourdes before they face a rival.

Julián Guerrero tells us that there in his beloved Juanacatlán, people are mainly engaged in the cultivation of corn and livestock and people who began to emigrate in the eighties to Omaha, began to work in the construction and meat packing houses.
