En misión comercial comitiva peruana visita Nebraska (English & Spanish Version)
South Sioux City, NE. La semana del 26 al 30 de Agosto se llevaron a cabo una serie de reuniones de bienvenida con empresarios de Perú y el Cónsul de Perú en Denver Colorado, Roland Denegri en diferentes ciudades de Nebraska. En la ciudad de South Sioux City fueron recibidos por el Alcalde de la Ciudad Rod Koch, Lance Hedquist, administrador de la ciudad, miembros del Concilio de la Ciudad y por compañías privadas con el fin de evaluar las potencialidades del mercado entre Nebraska y Perú.
En entrevista con Mundo Latino, Roland Denegri nos comentó que como Consulado General tienen un gran interés en la promoción comercial e inversiones. El cónsul dijo que después de una misión comercial de una comitiva de Nebraska durante el mes de Abril de este año al Perú, representantes de comercio exterior de Nebraska comenzaron un intercambio de comunicaciones con el consulado para lograr las reuniones y establecer negociaciones de exportación e importación en doble vía identificando potencialidades agroindustriales para un mutuo beneficio y complemento económico.
Por otro lado Rolando Luna, peruano y residente de South Sioux City fue un pieza clave para la coordinación de las reuniones. Fue a raíz de una conversación que éste tuvo con el gobernador Pete Ricketts que se dio a la tarea de estrechar las relaciones entre las autoridades de ambos países. “Después de varios meses de trabajo logramos visitar Perú y fue cuando surgió el interés de empresas de ambos países en evaluar acuerdos comerciales” dijo.
A pesar de no recibir el apoyo de ninguna organización que lo respalde Rolando está muy satisfecho con el trabajo logrado pues cree que muy pronto se estarán firmando acuerdos comerciales que beneficiarán tanto la economía de su natal Perú como la de Nebraska. “Todo lo que hago lo hago a título personal y de manera voluntaria para ayudar a mi país, también para cumplir con el compromiso que una vez le hice al gobernador de Nebraska” mencionó.
Rolando Luna espera poder contactar al empresario de Nebraska Warren Buffet o alguna organización interesada en su misión y presentarles el avance de las negociaciones con el fin de que puedan apoyarlo para que continúe con su misión y fortalecer los lazos entre ambos países. “Sí se puede, esto es el principio de algo muy grande” finalizó Rolando.

South Sioux City, NE. A series of welcome meetings with businessmen from Peru and the Consul of Peru from Denver, Colorado were held the week of August 26 to August 30 in different cities on Nebraska. In South Sioux City they were received by the Mayor Rod Koch, City Administer Lance Hedquist, members of the City Council, and by private companies in order to assess the potential of the market between Nebraska and Peru.
In an interview with Mundo Latino, Roland Denegri told us that Consulate Generals have a great interest in commercial promotion and investments. The Consul said that after a trade mission of the Nebraska delegation held in April 2019, the members began a communications exchange with the consulate to hold meetings to establish export and import negotiations in double track identifying agroindustrial potentialities for a mutual benefit and economic complement.
On the other hand, Rolando Luna, Peruvian and resident of South Sioux City, was a key piece for the coordination of the meetings. He took on the task of strengthening relations between the authorities of both countries after talking to Governor Pete Ricketts: “After several months of work we managed to visit Peru and it was when the interest of companies from both countries arose in evaluating trade agreements,” he said.
Despite not receiving the support of any organization, Rolando is very satisfied with the work he has achieved because he believes that trade agreements will be signed very soon that will benefit both the economy of his native Peru and that of Nebraska. “Everything I do, I do personally and voluntarily to help my country and also to fulfill the commitment I once made to the governor of Nebraska,” he explains.
Rolando Luna hopes to be able to contact Nebraskan businessman Warren Buffet or any organization interested in his mission and present the progress of the negotiations so that they can support him to continue his mission and strengthen the ties between both countries. “Yes we can…, this is the beginning of something very big,” Rolando concluded.
