4th of July 2020 Fireworks in Sioux City (English & Spanish Version)

A coalition of local organizations has announced that they will be underwriting a community fireworks display, produced by Lantis Fireworks, on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The show will begin at approximately 10:15 pm, and will shoot from the Sioux City Sue water tower in the Singing Hills area of Morningside.
Viewers of the fireworks are asked to practice social distancing and ideally view from inside of or very near their vehicles if possible. The valley below the water tower, along with the surrounding area, offers many safe opportunities to view the show.
Sponsors of the fireworks display include the Sioux City Explorers, the Sioux City Bandits, the Sioux City Musketeers, the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, The Siouxland Initiative, Thompson Electric Company, the City of Sioux City, and the Saturday in the Park Festival. After the COVID-19 related cancellations of most of the sports seasons, concerts, festivals, and many other community events, this coalition of local organizations came together to provide some safe, free entertainment for the community during these difficult times.
Dave Bernstein, co-founder of Saturday in the Park explained, “We have all collectively experienced so much loss this summer with the cancellations or postponements of our sports seasons and other events that we felt this was a way to provide something enjoyable and free for the community in honor of the 4th of July, and a way to remember that we are all in this together.”
